New York + Bobsleds

February 6, 2014

The winter games are starting and I am more excited than ever. There is nothing better than watching the elegance and flow of figure skating and the speed of skiers. Or, in different terms, there is nothing better than watching a sport other than football or basketball on my TV.

Not that I don’t love the two; I’m just excited to see something a bit more graceful.

And because New York knows a thing or two about gracefully utilizing space, a moment was taken out of my day to view these amazing depictions of what the Winter Olympics would look like in New York City. It would be the Super Bowl times a million and I would most likely flee, but it sure is beautiful to imagine Central Park with a two-mile long ski slope.

See all renditions (including a Times Square bobsled track and Broadway speed skating), here.

Will you be watching this year?
