This past weekend, I had the honor of hanging out with Jove for the day at the Brooklyn Lovesick Expo, meeting beautiful people at the happiest point in their lives and continuing to dive into the wedding industry.

Lovesick Brooklyn Wedding Expo

I have never been to a bridal show or wedding expo, not even for my own shin-dig coming up in a few months. All I knew about them was that several hundred overwhelmed brides and several hundred don’t-really-care grooms were coming to The Music Hall of Williamsburg to meet potential vendors, eat delicious snacks and rock out like hipsters. To me, this sounds wonderful. (I believe I tried to convince a couple of grooms to have the same perception.)

The music hall itself is a stunning venue, but when you pack it with familiar faces that know how to style and create beauty, the charm does not stop. Imagine twinkle lights, tulips, old suitcases and type writers. And beyond Jove’s booth, a plethora of beautiful vendors waiting to help you.

Among my favorites were City Bird, Bonobos, Readyluck, Everthine Bridal, Betty Brooklyn Catering, The House of Makeup, PiesnThighs, Love + Brain Films and OddFellows Ice Cream

Pola, from Rosehip Social, made me the most gorgeous floral crown to wear throughout the day (and night, because I love it so).

And everyone in the room grew to have a slight crush on Mixtape: a cover band for hipsters.

Unfortunately, my pictures did not do the vendors justice this time around. So I made a video to sum up the day, from my perspective. Thanks for indulging me!
