Beer + Europe

August 29, 2013

With tailgating and Oktoberfest literally around the corner (summer, where did you go?), it seems fitting to talk a bit about beer. Or at least learn something about the sweet taste that we all so often crave. Below is a map of what to call beer everywhere in Europe. If you are planning on taking a vacation there anytime soon, this is a must know. Among my favorites? Baaja (Iceland), Olut (Finland) and Garagardoa (Northern Spain/Southern France).

“Une bière, s’il vous plait…” sounds a bit more lovely than “A beer, please.”
