Tourists.

April 10, 2013

I laugh every time we break out the pictures of our childhood vacations. We were “road-trippers” and have driven across the country in Astro Vans, avoiding tornadoes in Kansas and hiking to The Grand Ditch in Colorado. And I am absolutely positive we looked like these people.

Photographer Roger Minick found the 80’s and 90’s look of tourists to be especially humorous and who can disagree after what he captured over the 20-year span. He focused on color palettes, as the contrast of outfits and the back drop of the sights created such satire. And he, so profoundly, named the collection “Sightseer.”

I just hoped my family did not pop up as I perused the pictures…and if we were there, I prayed we looked as rad as this first group.
