Up on the Rooftop

August 7, 2012

No, we don’t have lavish backyards with green landscaping, grass, and weeping willows to create shade from the summer heat. But we do have rooftops. These aren’t just any rooftops – from (almost) any rooftop in the city, you look out at incredible 360 degree views. You can see the East River, the Hudson, Freedom Tower, the Empire State Building, and so many more. The cityscape is at your fingertips when you are on a rooftop.

And we all take advantage. We have brunches¬†with mimosa’s and dinners lit with romantic candles and wine – even swim parties (as some rooftops have pools). We all cook and Jayne taught us all about a great website to help us organize our food. (Food being the most important part of every rooftop.) We even did the 4th on a rooftop to watch the fireworks over the Hudson!

So no, while we don’t have the peace and serenity of the country or the stars, we have the views.
